Our story
We met in Okayama, Japan, in December 2022 on the Japanese dating app, Pairs.
I was in the midst of fielding an unexpected but very welcome amount of interest from the locals despite my very rural, countryside location, when Kazuya popped up with a gorgeous smile and very polite, entirely adorable first message.
We had a video call the next week, our first date the week after that, and as they say, the rest is history.
Since then we've opened up each other's world, introducing each other to all sorts of things and developing a deep understanding for each other's cultural differences. We have travelled both in and outside of Japan, met each other's families, moved in together and are now taking the next step of marriage!
Although we still live in Japan, we plan to have a ceremony in both the UK and Japan. Therefore, we hope you can join us in celebrating our special day in England!
